She was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Farmersville, La. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel with the Rev. George Brown officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Sammie Draughan of Odessa; son, Rodney Draughan of Odessa; daughters, Janice Olivas of Freeport, Joyce Draughan of Lubbock and Phylliss Draughan of Arlington; mother, Pinkie Brown of Odessa; brothers, G.J. Brown, Donzel Brown, Johnny B. Brown and David Lee Brown, all of Houston, Leo Brown of Zephyrhill, Fla., Charles Brown of Arlington and George Earl Brown of Odessa; sisters, Cleo Sinns of Farmersville, La., Gussie B. Harrison of Houston, Linnie Grace Jamison of Arlington and Loretta Brown of Midland; grandparents, Jim Smith and Savanna Smith and Pete and Tiny Brown, all of Farmersville, La.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Services for William Eugene Hennon, 89, of Odessa will be at 2 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Witherspoon officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hennon died Monday, May 3, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Feb. 8, 1910, in Littleton, W.Va. He was married to Lucille Henson Hennon for 65 years. Mr. Hennon came to Odessa in 1952. He was retired from Atlantic Richfield Oil & Gas Company after having been employed there for 42 years. He was a member of University Park Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Hennon of Odessa; daughters, Barbara Gregory Horn and her husband, Joe, of Odessa and Sue Pearson and her husband, Earl, of Baton Rouge, La.; son, Bill Hennon and his wife, Barbara, of Grand Saline; eight grandchildren, Gary Gregory of Midland, Eddy Gregory and Deana Gregory Boyd, both of Gardendale, Michael Hennon of Monroe, Ga., Lori Hennon Bragg of Tyler, Melisa Pearson Harris, Tami Pearson and Kevin Pearson, all of Baton Rouge, La.; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews complete the family circle. Mr. Hennon was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Hennon; five brothers, Thomas Hennon, Albert Hennon, Walter Hennon, Jim Hennon and Steven Hennon; a son-in-law, Dean Gregory; and one grandson, Harold Edmond Gregory. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Gary Gregory, Eddy Gregory, Mike Hennon, Kevin Pearson, Cade Gregory and Clayton Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Brooks Gregory, Clinton Boyd, Justin Bragg, Holden Harris, Huston Harris, Hyatt Harris and Caleb Gregory. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ Vicenta Banuelas Bernard MONAHANS -- A memorial service for Vicenta Banuelas Bernard, 64, of Athens, formerly of Monahans, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. John Catholic Church. There will be visitation for Mrs. Bernard from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Mish Funeral Home in Bakersfield, Calif., where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, in Bakersfield, Calif. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Bakersfield, Calif. Mrs. Bernard died May 2, 1999, in East Texas Medical in Tyler. She was born July 19, 1934, in Pecos to Chono Ascenclo and Francisca Gochicoa Banuelos. She was a resident of Monahans most of her life and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Wally Bernard of Athens; sons and daughters-in-law, George and Ester Bernard, of Angleton, Wally Bernard Jr. and Deborah of Lake Jackson, Dr. Jack and Deanna Bernard of Athens, Ruben Bernard, Arlington; brothers, Isaac Rodriguez of Bakersfield, Calif., David Brandon of San Antonio, Michael Huerta of Gilroy, Calif., Lorenzo Banuelos and Jimmy Ascencio, both of Odessa; sisters, Petra Arraztoa and Alex Beadle, both of Bakersfield, Calif., Sandra Roch of Merced, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Mass for Ruby Benavides Patino, 52, of Odessa will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Chavez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel. Burial will be in Ector County/Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Patino died Monday, May 3, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born Oct. 24, 1946, in Odessa. She married Pablo Patino June 22, 1964, in Odessa. Mrs. Patino, a lifetime resident of Odessa, worked for the Ector County Independent School District. She was a member of the Odessa School Food Service Association. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She started working for ECISD as a substitute teacher in September 1989. She was made manager of the Goldsmith cafeteria in March 1997. Survivors include her husband, Pablo Patino of Odessa; sons, Ricky Patino and his wife, Christina, of Odessa, Tommy Patino and his wife, Julie, of Odessa and Paul Patino of Odessa; mother, Guadalupe Benavides of Odessa; brothers, Sammy Benavides of Albuquerque, N.M., and Arturo Benavides of Odessa; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Benavides, in 1993; and a brother, Fredrico, in February of 1999. "Jim" Lewallen Jr., 76, of Odessa, died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Holland, Texas. He married Arleva Gamblin March 24, 1947, in Brownwood. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 1999, at Crescent Park Church of Christ with Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrange-ments by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Mr. Lewallen moved to Odessa in 1950 from Lamesa. He served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a member of Odessa Downtown Lions Club, Permian Football Boosters, Permian Band Boosters and Crescent Park Church of Christ. Jim loved to play golf and was an avid MOJO football fan and was at all the MOJO practices and games. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and a loyal friend. Jim never met a stranger.
