May 06, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Freda Earline Carlson CONWAY, Ark. -- Freda Earline Carlson, 75, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at Odessa Medical Center Hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Macedonia Cemetery in Conway with Steve Moody officiating. Arrangements by McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Mrs. Carlson was born Oct. 6, 1923, in Megargle, Texas, and moved to Odessa, Texas, 12 years ago from Conway. She was a member of the United Church of God in Midland. Survivors include daughters, Fran Swithenbank and husband, Bob, of Rocklin, Calif., and Freda and husband, Charlie Moffett, of Odessa; brothers, Curtis Wall Jr. of Belt, Mont., Dean Wall of Portage, Wis., and Don Wall of Conway; sisters, Lou Ayala of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Maxine Clifton of Conway; grandsons, Bill Jenkins, Gary Jenkins, Kit Swithenbank, Nick Swithenbank and Wade Swithenbank, all of California, and Lance Moffett of Odessa; granddaughter, Shalon Moffett of Odessa; and nine great-grandchildren. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Gloria Nickerson, 44, died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born June 5, 1954, in Odessa. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. R.T. McNeil officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home. Visitation will begin today at 9 a.m. and continue until 7 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Home. Survivors include her parents, L.V. and Doriner Carroll of Odessa; daughter, Karren L. Nickerson of Austin; sister, Tanna R. Carroll of Odessa; grandchildren, Tanyell, Rafeal, Re'Itay, Ka'Meshia and Ta'Ron, all of Austin; and a host of family and friends. Gloria was preceded in death by her sister, Flora B.
