May 23,1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA --Ruth Cravens Gillham was born Jan. 22, 1904, in Midland, Texas. She married R.M. Neill in 1949. Mr. Neill succumbed in 1951. She married Mack Gillham Aug. 17, 1969, and migrated to Odessa. Mr. Gillham passed away in August of 1970. She was employed as a secretary for the Texas Highway Department and retired in 1969. Mrs. Gillham attended Sul Ross University and Odessa College. A member of the Christian Church of Odessa, she was their pianist for many years and she uplifted many with her musical talent. The last church she attended was the Church of Christ. Mrs. Gillham was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Gillham, her sister, Dorothy Powell and her son, Robert C. Glaser. She is survived by a son, Earl Glaser of San Angelo, Texas; granddaughters, Stacy Fornara-Wick of Paradise Valley, Arizona, and Cody Jan Crow of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by a brother, Henry Cravens of Mertzon, Texas, and two great-grandchildren, Kristin and Jamie Fornara of Paradise Valley, Arizona. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mark Bristow officiating.
