She was under the care of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Baylor Medical University Hospital in Dallas. She was given a bone marrow transplant and awaited recovery. Her transplant went well with her baby sister, JoAnn, her donor. During the waiting period of JoAnn's marrow reaching its destination, complications arose, causing some major organs to fail. Debbie was a fighter and continued to fight until the very end. Debbie would have wanted everyone to know that even though this transplant was not successful, it doesn't mean that anyone who has cancer should give up. Continue fighting ever step of the way. She was very religious with her Catholic faith. She always tried to follow God's footsteps. She always said,"God will not give you something you can not handle. He gave me this cross and this is what I shall carry." Funeral arrangements are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home. Survivors include her proud parents, Aron and Nina Carrasco; loving sisters, Elaine, Annette and JoAnn; grandparents, Aron Carrasco Sr. and Matilde Carrasco; aunts, uncles and friends; goddaughter, Ariel Mancha Garcia. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Manuel and Manuela Urias; uncles, Pete Carrasco and Armando Urias; aunt, Yolanda Rodriguez; paternal grandfather, Sipirano Gonzales. Pallbearers will be Timothy Armendariz, Joe Bitolas, Adrian Garza, Albert Gene Hernandez, Fabian Paredas and Steven Sanchez. _________________________________________________________________ Kyle Miller Sr. Kyle Miller Sr., 68, of Odessa died Tuesday, May 25, 1999, in Odessa.
