June 08, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Louisa E. Davison, 88, of Odessa, died Sunday, June 6, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Thomason officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Hobbs, N.M. She was born Aug. 19, 1910, in Maple City, Kan. She married Leland H. Davison Aug. 29, 1929, in Winfield, Kan. Mrs. Davison moved to Odessa in 1980 from Hobbs, N.M. She was a homemaker and loved gardening, crocheting, reading and quilting. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was very family oriented and loved her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland H. Davison; two sisters; five brothers; her mother and father; son-in-law; daughter-in-law; one grandson; and one great-grandson. Survivors include her sons, Leland Davison and wife, Glenda, of Odessa, Louis Davison and wife, Mary, of San Antonio, Lloyd Davison of Odessa; daughters, Lela Brooks and husband, Johnny "Bill," of Odessa, Louisa House of Evanston, Wyo.; sisters, Bertha Hallman and Alice Moore, both of Winfield, Kan.; grandchildren, Ralph (Eddie) Morgan, Susan (Morgan) Radolph, Tommy (Tom) House, Stephanie (House) Lightfoot, Kathy (Brooks) Williams, Steven (Steve) Brooks, Leland Shane Davison, Tamera (Davison) Tucker, Lisa Davison La Combe, Louis Daniel Davison Jr., Chad Davison, Lloyd Elton Davison Jr., Elizabeth (Davison) Teague, Sabrina (Davison) Ericksen, Aaron Davison, Connie (Quisenberry) Burleson, Ronald Quisenberry and Donald Quisenberry; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials should be sent to The Young at Heart Group at Temple Baptist Church. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ Shane Lynn "Casper" Turner, born Feb. 22, 1972, in Odessa, died June 5, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Fankhauser officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery. Casper loved to talk on the CB, talk on the phone, tell jokes, ride in racecars and shooting firearms. He loved his faithful, four-legged companion Sammy. Shane graduated from Permian High School in 1990. He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Turner; maternal grandmother, Ouida Cherry; paternal grandfather, James H. "Jim" Turner; and paternal grandmother, Jackye Harmon. Shane is survived by his mom, Linda Turner; sister, Keyna Turner; brother, Deryn Turner; fiance, Stephanie Bailey; grandpa, Melvin Cherry; a special aunt, J.V. Ballard; cousins, John and Joyce Reed, all from Odessa; cousins, Weldon and Sherry Ribble and son, Jason from Honea Path, SC.; Uncle David and Aunt Peggy Cherry of Odessa; aunts, Twillia Menefee of Carlsbad, N.M., and Patsy Settle of Big Lake; great-aunt, LaQuita Spearman of Carlsbad, N.M.; and numerous cousins. Shane was on kidney dialysis for the last 7½ years at the Permian Basin Dialysis Center. He had an extended family, which included techs, nurses, other patients and friends. Pallbearers are Wesley Davis, Frank Alvarado, Thomas Powell, Chris Ferguson, Robert Banta and Bill McEwin.
