June 13, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Ann Brumley was born June 10, 1941, in Gorman, Texas to Boyce C. Hooper and Johnnie R. Foster Hooper. She was the director of finance and administration for the United Way, a graduate of Leadership Midland and an active member at Golf Course Road Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father Boyce, a son: Jeffrey Lynn Brumley, and a sister, Joy Hooper. Mrs. Brumley died early Saturday at her residence after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was beloved by all who knew her and will be remembered as a loving mother and beloved wife, daughter and sister. Ann was a friend to many, freely testifying of her love of the Lord and sharing of her time and energy to assist in helping them. Survivors include her husband, Milton Brumley of Midland; two sons, Gregory Ray Brumley and wife Heather of Abilene, Texas and Douglas Glenn Brumley of Midland; one grandson, Jeffrey Ray; her mother, Johnnie Hooper of Odessa; three sisters, Mary Smith of Midland, Gloria Oliver of Houston and Beth Gesch of Odessa; nephews, Jason and Jonathan Smith of Midland and Alias Legesse of Houston; nieces Amy Martin of Midland, Amber Gesch and Heather De LaO of Odessa. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday at Golf Course Road Church of Christ with Ronny White officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jason Smith, Jonathan Smith, Brian Martin, Jeremy De LaO, Barry Dale Brumley, J.J. King, Jimmy Davis and Larry Davis. The family requests memorials be directed to Hospice of Midland, P.O. Golf Course, Midland, Texas 79703. _________________________________________________________________ Irma Stacy, 99, of Odessa passed away Friday, June 11, 1999, in a local hospital. Mrs. Stacy was born March 21, 1900, in Glenrose, Texas. She moved to Odessa in 1909 and was an early member of The First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. She worked for many years in the ladies department at The Model Shop. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Laura Bowers, in 1977, and her son, Perry C. Stacy, Jr., in 1993. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Delores "Dee" Stacy of Odessa; five grandchildren, Carl Bowers Jr., Euell Bowers, Mary Taylor, Sheri Robin and Teri Steen; 19 great grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Public visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 14, 1999, in the Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy Potter officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
