June 15, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Glenn W. Reeves, 66, of Odessa died Saturday, June 12, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Ernest Easley officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. After graduating from Oklahoma State University, Glenn came to West Texas where he served as comptroller for Star-Fidelity Gas Company. He was known as a man with a colorful personality that was bigger than life. His priorities were God first, then his family. Then came his church, including the choir and other singing activities. And finally the community. He was a great Mojo fan and he loved the Dallas Cowboys. He was a Scottish Rite 32nd -degree Mason with the Fellowship Masonic Lodge No. 1385 AF & AM and a Shriner. He was also involved with the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang. His pallbearers are Keith Cardwell, Bud Lee, Bill Turner, Bill Myers, Randy Givens, Curtis Saylor, Buddy West and Gary Darr. Honorary pallbearers include the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang. Ushers include Mel Goodgame, Alton Crumley, and A.T. Evans. Glenn is survived by his wife, Vivian; and his daughter, Dianne Combs with her husband Dean and children, Caleb, Kelly and Katherine of Odessa; his son, Doug Reeves with his wife, Shelly, of Arlington and his son, Dan Reeves with his wife, Kay, and children, Kacey, Tanner and Zachary, of Fort Worth; his brother, Gene with his wife, Jane, of Portsmouth, N.H.; his sister, Lou Beth with her husband, Roger, of Maryville, Tenn.; and many nieces and nephews. _________________________________________________________________ Copyright © 1999 Odessa American.
