   ODESSA  --  Samuel  Joseph  "Sammy  Joe"  Preston, 22, of Odessa, died
   Monday, June 14, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital.
   Services  will  be  at  2  p.m. Thursday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home
   Chapel  with  the  Rev.  Jim  Ray Brown officiating. Burial will be at
   Sunset Memorial Gardens.
   He  was  born  Jan. 11, 1977, in Odessa and was a lifelong resident of
   Odessa.
   He  attended  Permian  High  School and excelled in gymnastics. He was
   Baptist.
   Survivors  include  his father, Gary Preston of Odessa; mother, Cindie
   Jones  Preston of Odessa; daughter, Kirsten Brianne Preston of Odessa;
   brother,  Michael  A. Preston of Odessa; grandparents, Sam and Mildred
   Jones  of  Coleman; close friends, Billy Smith of Austin and Jason and
   David  Smith  of  Odessa;  great-aunt, Maxine Preston of Tulsa, Okla.;
   numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other close friends.
   Visitation  will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral
   Home.
   Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
