June 19, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Violet Huffman, 83, of Odessa, died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Dickerson officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. She was born Oct. 28, 1915, in Thurber. She married Grady Huffman Jan. 31, 1958. He preceded her in death in 1980. Mrs. Huffman was a member of Crescent Park Baptist Church. She was a seamstress for Melvin's Clothiers for many years. Pallbearers will be Leon Porter, Morris Greenwood, J. Kirk, Dump Williams, Louis McGuire and Malcolm Mount. Survivors include her son, Alton Henson of Odessa; nieces, Lawanda June White of Davis, Okla.; Charlotte Russell of Yukon, Okla.; Sue Pitman of Brookland, Ark., Benita Jo Mills of Muskogee, Okla., and Linda Holford of Jonesboro, Ark; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. Arrangements entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Alice Randolph, 84, of Odessa, died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. She was born Nov. 24, 1914, in San Saba. She married John Robert Randolph Sept. 29, 1956, in Odessa. He preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Randolph was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook. She loved her church and was loved by many people. Survivors include her daughters, Janette Nobles and husband, Jack, of Midland, Jackie Luxton and husband, Ray, of Odessa; grandchildren, Rhonda Lea and husband, Allen, of Denton and Laurie Luxton of Odessa; great-grandchildren, Stacie Lea and Mark Lea, both of Denton. Mrs. Randolph's family believes that she would prefer that donations be made to Second Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
