June 26, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Garlen Edward Clark ODESSA -- Garlen Edward Clark, 71, of Odessa, died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, in San Angelo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crescent Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Dickerson officiating. Burial is at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. He was born April 29, 1928, in Mission. He worked for Rowan Company for 40 years. Survivors include: Wife, Bettie Clark of Odessa; son, Ed Clark of Odessa; daughters, Dorinda D. Atkins of Atkins, Va., and Mechele Howard of Houston; brother, T.J. Clark of Tecumshe, Okla.; sister, Ester L. Boykin of Vacaville, Calif.; granddaughters, Traci Atkins of Wise, Va., Leiann Atkins of Atkins, Va., and Lela K. Howard of Houston; grandsons, Andy Atkins and Chris Atkins, both of Atkins, Va. Pallbearers will be: Carl Tyler, T. Brajeal, Gene Bruno, Tom Marshall, Jim Moore, Don Perrin. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dumps Williams, Malcom Mount, D.C. Murphy, Bill Person, Bob Ridgeway, Doug Smith. Viewing will be today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive relatives and friends today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mr. Clark will lie in state Saturday at Crescent Park Baptist Church, 3002 E. University Blvd., from 8:30 a.m. until service time. _________________________________________________________________ Mary Linn "M.L." Voss ODESSA -- Mary Linn "M.L." Voss, 75, of Odessa died Friday, June 25, 1999, at her residence. She was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Sweetwater. Mrs. Voss came to Odessa in 1978 where she was a member of First Christian Church in Sweetwater. She graduated from high school in Sweetwater. She worked many years in the Sash & Door business in Sweetwater, Abilene and Lubbock. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Frontier Mobile Housing Inc. until her retirement in 1996. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack E. Voss; sisters, Mildred Weems and Frances Waler. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Owen Sharp officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Survivors include: brother, Cecil M. Voss of Arlington; sister-in-law, Allyne C. Voss of Odessa; nephews, Tommy Weems of Marshall and Mark Voss of Phoenix, Ariz.; nieces; Judy Ford of Marshall, Pat Sadler of Andarko, Okla., Karen Cushman of Arlington and Terry Freeman of Arlington; and many caring friends.
