August 05, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ CISCO -- Emma Lu Cree McCann, 45, of Odessa, a houseparent for the Texas Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 1999, in Odessa. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Charles West officiating. Arrangements by Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco. She was born in Odessa and was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladis M. Cree, and her grandparents, G.D. Cree and Myra Cree Vansickl and Bill and Lula Walker. Survivors include her husband, Wayland McCann; father, Robert N. Cree of Odessa; three brothers, W.D. "Dub" Cree and wife, Janet, and Bobbie G. Cree and wife, Connie, all of Odessa, and Terry L. Cree and wife, Lori, of Orlando, Fla.; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and close friends. _________________________________________________________________ Enoch Esco Ratliff ODESSA -- Our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Enoch Esco Ratliff, 77, of Odessa, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Church services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ with Roy Smalling and Don Turskey officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. He was born Aug. 4, 1921, in Duncan, Okla. He moved from Monahans to Odessa in 1935 and married Viola Ruth Brewer Nov. 4, 1945, in Odessa. He was self-employed. He was a member of the Toastmasters Club and the Lions Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. We know our separation is only temporary. He served the Lord for many years as a deacon at the Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ. We will all miss his smiles, hugs and war stories. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Willie Mae Ratliff; brother, Elmer G. Ratliff; and sister, Betty Bewley. He is survived by his wife, Viola Ratliff of Odessa; sons, Daniel Glenn Ratliff of Odessa, W.E. "Dub" Ratliff of Benbrook; sister, Beth Rodgers of Andrews; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
