October 11, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA-- Mary Anita Stovall Mitchell, 74, of Odessa, passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at her residence in Odessa. She was born July 13, 1925, in Devol, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Christ, Sixth Street and Jackson, with Don Turskey and Roy Smalling officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Mitchell moved to Odessa in 1955 from Granite, Okla. She was a checker for Walgreens Drug Store for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ on Jackson and Sixth Street, and member of the Young at Heart. She loved to cook and was a stickler for cleaning house. She was preceded in death by: husband, Lester Stovall; brothers, Dewey Morgan Jr., J.P. Morgan and Don Morgan. She is survived by her husband, Earnest E. Mitchell, of Odessa; two sons, Glen Stovall of Chandler and Billy Stovall of Odessa; two brothers, Ken Morgan of Brookville, Ohio, and Jim Morgan of Odessa; three sisters, Jan Crumpley, Bettie Gelnar and Wanda Hagar, all of Odessa; two granddaughters, Lanita Hudson and husband, Greg, of Lexington, Ky., and Brianna Stovall of Odessa. Pallbearers will be Jim French, Russell Neal, Darren Wilkerson, Paul Henry, Tommy Kennedy and Jason Wilkerson.
