November 19, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Treasy Mae Trimble was born April 19, 1919, in Duncan, Okla., to Homer and Bertha Alston Gardener. She passed away on Nov. 18, 1999, at Avalon Place. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishops Alan Pitt and Spencer Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Trimble was raised in Portales, N.M., where she married Benjamin Trimble on Feb. 8, 1941. After his service during World War II, they came to Odessa in 1949. He preceded her in death in August 1978. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing and also canning. Her home was always the gathering place for the family. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and the first ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was preceded in death also by two brothers and a sister, Albert, Clyde and Effie. Survivors include her son, Benny Harold Trimble of Victoria; her daughters, Jo Ann Telles and Vicki Nordman, both of Odessa, and Ima Jean Jones of Galena, Kan.; her sisters, Gladys Angle of Hayword, Calif., Essie Matthews of California and Bonnie Kennedy of Colorado; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Espiridion "Speedy" Zuniga, 50 years of age, passed away Nov. 17, 1999, at his residence in Odessa. He was born Dec. 14, 1948, in Ojinaga, Mexico. He was self-employed, the owner of his own trucking company. Speedy is survived by his ex-wife, Jovita Zuniga of Odessa; sons, Porfirio and his wife, Tonya, and Miguel Zuniga, all of Odessa; daughter, Marcia Zuniga of Odessa; grandchildren, Dustin and Jaquine Zuniga and Cory Truelock, all of Odessa. Also surviving are two half-brothers and eight sisters. Rosary was recited on Thursday evening and Mass for the Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
