December 01, 1999 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Frances Baca, 53, of Odessa, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. She was born May 27, 1946, in Marfa, to Manuela Morales and Federico Armendarez, and had lived in Odessa for 18 years. She was a housewife. Survivors include her husband, Juan Baca of Odessa; daughter, Benita B. Rodriguez of Odessa; sons, Bobby Baca, Henry Baca and Roger Baca, all of Odessa; father, Federico Armendarez of Odessa; mother, Manuela Armendarez of Odessa; sisters, Cora Gomez and Maria Vasquez, both of Odessa, and Olivia Moreno of Grand Prairie; brothers, Jose L. Armendarez of New Burgh, N.Y., and Eddie Armendarez of Odessa; and seven grandchildren. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA -- Margaret Isabell Hoggatt Stalik was born July 19, 1913, to Bud Jesse Hoggatt and Ethel Maude Johnston Hoggatt in Perry, Okla. Margaret moved to Odessa in 1952. She was an active member of the Southside Baptist Church and later Central Baptist Church in Odessa. Margaret survived two husbands and two sons. She was married to Paul Everett Coker in 1934, who died October 5, 1939, and was married to Willie Stalik November 23, 1946, who passed away March 19, 1998. Her son Jerry Franklin Coker died in 1939, and Jesse Paul Coker died May 29, 1995. Margaret is survived by one son, Joseph Thomas Stalik of Odessa; and one daughter, Nellie Coker Beverly of Dayton; 12 grandchildren, Joe Stalik of Odessa, Rose Marie Grifby of Columbia, Md., Buddy Wayne Wildemann of Norman, Okla., Paul Daniel Baylift and Margaret Denise Baylift, both of Oklahoma City, Paula Pollard of Morrison, Okla., Diane Bagent of Pryor, Okla., Cathy Kimmell of Garber, Okla., James Coker of Washington, Sarah Cecil and Charles Williford, both of Odessa, and Jeff Starkey of Fairview, Okla.; and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Central Baptist Church with Revs. David Johnson and Vondel Drinkard officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ ANDREWS -- Ray McMullin, 69, of Andrews, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at his residence. Graveside services were held Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at Andrews West Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Zap officiating. He was born Feb. 22, 1930, in Tupelo, Miss. He served in the Army in the Korean Conflict. He moved to Andrews in 1968 from Odessa. He married Grace McPherson March 12, 1968, in Odessa. He has worked as a supervisor for Deeco Rubber Company in Andrews. His wife preceded him in death Dec. 8, 1998. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. He is survived by his three sons, Jim Akin of Andrews, Art Reeves of El Paso and Dale Reeves of Marshall, Ark.; daughters, Ruby Helen Smith of Andrews, Vona Heiting of Odessa, Kathy Beard and Elaine Reeves, both of San Antonio; sister, Margie Campbell of Austin; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
