January 9, 2000 Permian Basin Death Notices Guadalupe Carranza Sr. Levelland — Guadalupe Carranza Sr., 80, of Levelland, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, at his home in Levelland. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Primera Iglesia Bautista with the Rev. Guadalupe Carranza Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the City of Levelland Cemetery. Arrangements by Head Family Funeral Home. He was born in Devine and moved to Levelland in 1950. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors: Wife, Maria Garza Carranza, of Levelland; sons, Guadalupe Carranza Jr., of Levelland, Jesse Carranza, of San Antonio, Israel Carranza, of Odessa, Ismael Carranza, of Taylor, Johnny Carranza and Richard Carranza, of Levelland; daughters, Elida Haro, Rosie Villareal, and Diana Villareal, of Levelland, and Delilah Herrera, of Taylor; 23 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. James Craddock Andrews — James T. Craddock, 73, of Andrews, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, at Westwood Medical Center in Midland. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Means Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home. He was born in Coryell County and moved to Andrews in 1953. He was Methodist. Survivors: Wife, Jana Craddock, of Andrews; daughter, Nancy Purtell, of Fort Worth; son, Jim Craddock, of Spring; brother, Bill Craddock, of Lubbock; sister, Edna McCombs, of St. George, Utah; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. William Hayslette Fort Stockton — William S. Hayslette, 69, of Fort Stockton, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000. Services will be today at 3 p.m. at the Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Skip Hill officiating. Cremation will be at the Evergreen East Cemetery in El Paso. He was born in Hurricane, W. Va. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was Baptist. Survivors: Wife, LoNita Hayslette of Fort Stockton; sons, Tom Carlisle, Mike Hayslette and Bill Hayslette, all of Chicago, and Fred Hunley, of Midland; daughters, Jenny Hayslette, of Chicago, and Christy Shannonrae Hayslette, of Fort Stockton; brother, Don Hayslette, of Chicago. Minnie Hudman Odessa — Minnie Belle Hudman, 93, of Odessa, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, at Odessa Regional Hospital. Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. She was raised in Mineral Wells. Survivors: Daughter, Jean Almerigotti, of Odessa; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Nannie Stump Odessa — Nannie Stump, 86, a homemaker, of Odessa, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, at the Parks Methodist Retirement Center. Graveside services will be at noon Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. She was a resident of Odessa since 1945. She was Baptist. Survivors: Sons, Lester Dorsey, of May, and John W. Colin, of Houston; and three grandchildren. Fern Townsend Crane — Fern Leary Townsend, 72, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at Crane Memorial Hospital. She will be cremated, and private services will be held for the family. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Homes. She was a resident of Crane since 1963 and was Methodist. Crystal Whitley San Angelo — Crystal Ruth Whitley, 78, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000. Services were held Saturday at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Townsend and the Rev.
