January 30, 2000 Permian Basin Death Notices Reece Bevers ODESSA — Reece B. Bevers, 92, of Odessa, a retired carpenter, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday, at the Brownfield Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Michael Adams and the Rev. Dennis Snedeger officiating. Burial will follow at the Brownfield Cemetery. Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. He was born in Lakeview. SURVIVORS: Son, Fredrick Don Bevers of Duncan, Okla.; daughters, Joyce Snedegar of Odessa and Carol Adams of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mildred Gibson SAN ANTONIO — Mildred Estelle Gibson, 85, of San Antonio, died Thursday, Jan. 27. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Monday, at Ector County Cemetery with the Rev. Don Allen officiating. She moved to Odessa in 1950, and then moved to San Antonio in 1996. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. She was Baptist. Mary Henington STANTON — Mary Alleyne Stewart Henington, 88, of Stanton, died Saturday, Jan. 29, at a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, in Tatum, N.M. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home in Midland. SURVIVORS: Daughter, Ida Gibbs of Odessa; Son, Jerry Henington of Midland; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. John Roberts GARDENDALE — John C. Roberts, 62, of Gardendale, a retired mechanic, died, Friday, Jan. 28. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Monument Cemetery in Monument N.M., with the Rev. Jack Watkins. He was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Wife, Geraldine M. Roberts of Gardendale; sons, Matthew K. Martindale of Media Penn., Curtis W. Martindale of Odessa and John V. Billy Walker MIDLAND — Billy Walker, 61, a local businessman, died Thursday, Jan. 27, at a local hospital. Funeral services were 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, at St. Luke’s Methodist Church with the rev. Richard Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
