He was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and was a longtime resident of Stanton. He was Catholic. Elfida Herrera PRESIDIO — Elfida Fuentes Herrera, 93, of Presidio, a homemaker, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, in an El Paso hospital. Gordon Cox officiating. Burial will be at Harkey Funeral Home. She was born in Valiant, Okla., and has been a resident of Monahans since 1988. She was Baptist. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Robert Taylor ODESSA — Robert Dee Taylor, 73, of Odessa, retired owner of the Batting Center, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at his residence. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Eisenhower Church of Christ with Eddie Parrish and Bert Groves officiating. Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. today at Rocksprings Cemetery in Rocksprings. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. He was born in Junction and moved to Odessa in 1990. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
