                               Cruz Alvarado
       ODESSA — Cruz G. Alvarado, 69, of Odessa, a retired radio
    announcer, died Friday, March 17, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
     Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at Holy Redeemer Catholic
   Church with the Rev. Frank Chavez officiating. Burial will be at Rose
           Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
   He was born in Austin and had been a resident of Odessa since 1980. He
                               was Catholic.
    SURVIVORS: Wife, Tomasa Alvarado of Odessa; sons, Cruz Alvarado Jr.
    and Joaquin Alvarado, both of Odessa, Joe Alvarado, George Alvarado
      and Robert Alvarado, all of Austin, and Jerry Alvarado of Pecos;
    daughters, Mary Alice Alvarado of Austin, Josie Cuellar and Pauline
   Saucedo, both of Kyle, Isabel Nunez and Delia Leal, both of Odessa and
            Adelina Acosta of Andrews; 31 grandchildren; and 28
                            great-grandchildren.
                                      
                                Robert Buck
   MIDLAND — Robert H. "Bob" Buck, 75, of Midland died Sunday, March
                       19, 2000, at a local hospital.
   Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with
    the Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral
                                   Home.
      He was born in Dalhart and had been a resident of Midland for 30
          years. He was in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
     SURVIVORS: Wife, Billie Jean Buck of Midland; son, Brad Calhoun of
     Midland; daughters, Karen Jorden of Hamilton and Sue Williamson of
   Athens; sister, Virginia Ray of Bridgeport; 10 grandchildren; and nine
                            great-grandchildren.
                                      
                               Manuel Garcia
    ANDREWS — Manuel Garcia, 57, of Andrews died Monday, March 20,
                     2000, at Permian General Hospital.
       Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Andrews West
      Cemetery with Phil Marroquin officiating. Arrangements by McNett
                               Funeral Home.
                           He was born in Mexico.
   SURVIVORS: Mother, Jaunita Garcia of Andrews; brothers, Andrew Garcia
   of Florida and Augustine Garcia of Ohio; sisters, Virginia Garcia and
   Erma Munoz, both of Andrews, Consuelo Salazar of Mexico and Rosalinda
                             Garcia of Odessa.
                                      
                                Jackie Jones
      BOURBON, Ind. — Jackie L. Jones, 64, of Bourbon, Ind., died
          Saturday, March 18, 2000, at Bremen Community Hospital.
   Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Deaton Funeral Home with the
       Rev. Steve Kaehr officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill
               Cemetery. Arrangements by Deaton Funeral Home.
   She was born in Turner Town and had been a resident of Bourbon for 14
                                   years.
    SURVIVORS: Daughter, Tammy Sauer of Bourbon; sons, Tim McIntyre and
        Jaymie McIntyre, both of Bourbon; 12 grandchildren; and one
                           stepgreat-grandchild.
                                      
                             Douglas Schumpert
   ODESSA — Douglas Schumpert, 64, of Odessa, retired, died Sunday,
                    March 19, 2000, at a local hospital.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home
      Chapel with the Rev. Reed Gibson officiating. Burial will be at
     Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly
                               Funeral Home.
      He was born in Georgetown and was a longtime resident of Odessa.
   SURVIVORS: Sons, Douglas G. Schumpert Jr. of Irving and Dana Schumpert
     of Odessa; daughters, Darla Schumpert Tilghman and Angel Schumpert
   Morgan, both of Odessa; brother, Bill Schumpert of San Angelo; sister,
             Marjorie Frizzell of Bangs; and 10 grandchildren.

   PECOS —Margie Deishler, 67, of Pecos died Monday, March 20, 2000,
                         at Reeves County Hospital.
               Services are pending with Pecos Funeral Home.

   ALPINE — Eddy Fellabaum, 81, of Balmorhea died Monday, March 20,
                    2000, at Alpine Valley Care Center.

    ODESSA — Lillie Gentry, 75, of Odessa died Saturday, March 18,
                     2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
