"Jim" Coleman, 84, of Uvalde died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hillcrest Cemetery with the Rev. Grady Roe officiating. Arrangements by Rushing-Estes-Knowls Mortuary. He was born in Turon, Kan. Joel Fields KERMIT — Joel "Buck" Fields, 65, of Kermit, a truck driver, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Westwood Medical Center in Midland. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Kermit Cemetery with the Revs. Stephen Smith and Wilburn Brock officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. He was born in Sanford and had been a resident of Kermit for 11 years. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. SURVIVORS: Son, James Fields of Odessa; daughter, Cathy Matthews of Anton; sisters, Bernice Pennington of Kermit and Helen Smith of Ohio City, Colo.; and five grandchildren. Russell Guevara MARFA — Russell J. Guevara, 76, of Marfa, retired owner of American Auto Parts, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at his residence. Mass was celebrated Friday, April 7, 2000, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial was at Merced Cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home. He was born in Marfa and was a lifelong resident. He was an Army veteran. He was Catholic.
