                              Garnette Lapier
                                      
    KERMIT — Garnette Mae Lapier, 67, of Kermit died Monday, April
                        24, 2000, at her residence.
                                      
        Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at 712 N. Oak St.
                   Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
                                      
    She was born in Branchland, W.Va., and had been a resident of Kermit
                               for 22 years.
                                      
        SURVIVORS: Son, Phillip Dwight Whiddon of Gainesville, Fla.;
     daughters, Sherrie Carter of Kermit and Cynthia Annette McLean of
   Dodge City, Kan.; brothers, Basil Beckelheimer of Bushnell, Fla., and
        Charles Beckelheimer of Trenton, Fla.; sister, Ruby Woods of
        Tennessee; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
