"Speck" Brown Jr., 74, of San Angelo and formerly of Odessa, died Friday, June 23, 2000 at his home after a lengthy illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Ramon of Beacon Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. He was born in Electra. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. SURVIVORS: Wife, Ann Brown of San Angelo; daughters, Nadine Belk of Midland and Sandra "Sandy" Roberson of San Angelo; son, Richard "Ricky" Brown of Odessa; brother, Chubby Brown of Reedsport, Ore., and Harrell Brown of Odessa; sisters, Mary Henry of Clyde and Willie Grace Bright of Longview; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Robert Farris SWEETWATER Robert Andrew Farris, 77, a retired Western Union supervisor, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at his residence. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Eastside Church of Christ with Brian McGonagil officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Sweetwater Cemetery. He was born in Sweetwater. He was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ. He was a 20-year resident of Kermit and vice president of the American Association of Retired Persons. SURVIVORS: Sister, Mary Jones Curry of Sweetwater. Marion Spraggins MONAHANS Marion Lee Spraggins, 76, of Monahans, a retired electrician, died Thursday, June 22, 2000 at Odessa Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Monahans Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Spraggins officiating. He was born in Pear Valley. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Wife, Wanda Spraggins of Monahans; son, Gary Lee Spraggins of Kingwood; daughter, Patricia Ann Stapler of Opelika, Al.; brothers, R.W.
