   ODESSA John George Kownatzki, 80, a retired employee of Butchs Hotshot
              Service in Odessa, died Thursday, June 22, 2000.
                                      
   Graveside services were held Monday, June 26, 2000, at Sunset Memorial
         Gardens. Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home of Dallas.
                                      
   He was born Oct. 31, 1919. He was Baptist. He was a U.S. Army veteran
                              of World War II.
                                      
   SURVIVORS: Daughters, Carolyn Lou Mock of Plano, Sue Stanley of Odessa
    and Vickie Kownatzki of San Antonio; sons, Phillip Kownatzki of San
          Antonio and Lynn McKay of Odessa; and six grandchildren.

   ODESSA Donald G. Slusher, 66, of Odessa died Friday, June 30, 2000, at
                               his residence.
                                      
      Arrangements are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

                 2000, at Presybyterian Hospital in Plano.

    ODESSA Rafael Garza, 32, of Odessa, died Saturday, July 1, 2000, at
                          Medica Center Hospital.
