SURVIVORS: Daughters, Chance Johnson Byars of Corpus Christi and Atlantis Johnson of Robstown; son, Zachariah Johnson of Leavenworth, Kans.; father, James W. Bullock of Lafayette, La.; stepmother, Carole L. Bullock of Lafayette; brother, Royce Lane Bullock of Midwest City, Okla.; sisters, Carole Bullock Wilson of Dallas and Jennifer L. Bullock of Lafayette; and three grandchildren. E.D. Mainous AMARILLO E.D. "Pete" Mainous, 84, of Amarillo, a retired oilfield drilling superintendent, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Golden Plains Church of Christ with Paul Camp officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Burt Groves officiating. Arrangements by Schooler Funeral Home. He was born in Perkins, Okla., and had been a resident of Odessa. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ. SURVIVORS: Wife, Alice Mainous of Amarillo; stepsons, Chris Kutin of Amarillo and Alex Kutin of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Ethel Mueller ODESSA Ethel Irene Mueller, 69, of Odessa, a retired teacher, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at her residence. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Marys Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Frey officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Marys Catholic Church. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home. She was born in St. Louis and had been a resident of Odessa since 1965. She was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Husband, William Mueller of Odessa; daughter, Teresa "Terry" McManigle of Rodbourene, England; sons, Kenneth J. Mueller of Fort Worth and Wayne S. Mueller of San Antonio; and two grandsons. Scott Smith ALPINE Scott Owen Smith, 66, of Alpine, a retired employee of the Border Patrol, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at his residence. No services are scheduled. He was born in Harlingen. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
