He was born in Copeland. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Wife, Lillian Beatrice Deaver of Odessa; daughters, Debra Irene Byrd and Dr. Tara Yvette Deaver, both of Odessa; sisters, Maude Lucas and Dorothy Pledge, both of Odessa, and Emma Glenn of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren. Martina Hernandez SHEFFIELD Martina Hernandez, 103, of Sheffield, a homemaker, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at McCamey Nursing Home in McCamey. Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. today at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Sheffield Cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Chapel. Elva Marble DALLAS Elva Crumley Marble, 94, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Restland Funeral Chapel. Madge Ragsdale, 84, of Aztec, N.M., a homemaker, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, at her residence. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, at Memory Gardens with the Rev.
