September 26, 2000 Robert Beasley ODESSA Robert Emmitt Beasley, 79, of Odessa, a veteran of the Marines, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at Deerings Nursing Home. Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Rex Clayton officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. He was born in Oilton, Okla., and had been a resident of Odessa since 1988. He was a Protestant. SURVIVORS: Wife, Irene Beasley of Odessa; son, Emmitt Beasley of Pampa; daughter, Pamela Beasley of Odessa; and sister, Lois Shinn of Tampa, Fla. Ysidra Lujan ODESSA Ysidra Lujan, 53, of Odessa, a bus driver, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Ligardo Alonso officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home. She was born in Presidio. She was Catholic. Merlon Thigpen BIG SPRING Merlon Ray "Shotgun" Thigpen, 63, of Big Spring, a gager for Duncan Drilling Company, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at his residence. He was born in Jayton and had been a resident of Big Spring since 1978. He was Baptist.
