Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Fred officiating. Burial will follow at Denver City Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral Home. He was born in Lubbock. He was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Wife, Stephanie Parker of Denver City; daughter, Whitney Nicole Parker of Denver City; son, Jacob Thomas Parker of Denver City; mother, Nadine Parker of Denver City; brothers, Rodney Parker and Donny Parker, both of Denver City; and sister, LaDena Mitchell of Caldwell. Gene Tallant ODESSA Gene Tallant, 78, of Odessa, retired owner and operator of Genes Grocery Store, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at a local hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Greenfield Acres Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Bartlett officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. He was born in Spur and had been a resident of Odessa since 1956. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
