Marjorie Carlisle ODESSA Marjorie Fern Carlisle, 76, of Odessa, a school teacher, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Avalon Nursing Home in Odessa. She lived in Odessa for 45 years. She was a member of the West Texas Gem and Mineral Society, Order of the Eastern Star, Odessa Prospectors Club and was an adjutant professor at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Audrey Taylor ODESSA Audrey Marie Taylor, 74, of San Angelo, a longtime Odessa resident, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at San Angelo Community Medical Center. She was born in Bristow, Okla. She designed airplanes for Lockheed during World War II. She was a past vice-president of Atco and a founding member of the First Church of God in Odessa. Bettie Lou Varner MONAHANS Bettie Lou Varner, 72, of Grandfalls, a retired secretary, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at her home in Grandfalls. Mack Zachary, 96, of Fort Worth died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, in Fort Worth. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Greenwood Chapel. Burial will be at Greenwood Mausoleum. Arrangements by Greenwood Funeral Home. He was born in Stephens County, Okla. He and Neville G. Penrose formed Westhyde Investment Co., Neville G. Penrose Inc. and Penrose Production Co. He also formed his own company, Zachary Oil Operating Co. He remained active in the oil business until his death.
