   ODESSA Verna Foster Davidson, 84, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday,
            Nov. 5, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Asbury United Methodist Church
    with the Rev. Kathryn Strempke officiating. Burial will be at 9 a.m.
                 Thursday at Edna Cemetery in Edna, Texas.
           She was born in Buckhorn Community. She was Methodist.
   SURVIVORS: Husband, Duval A. Dave Davidson of Odessa; son, William F.
   Davidson of Seattle; daughter, Mary Ann Andrews of Raleigh, N.C.; five
                grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
                              Thommy Hood III
   ANDREWS Thommy M. Hood III, 51, of Austin, a former Andrews resident,
                  died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000, in Austin.
      Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Andrews West
   Cemetery with Dr. Walt Lee officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral
                                   Home.
                         He was born in Fort Worth.
       SURVIVORS: Sisters, Pam Hicks of Alvin and Lynn Cunningham of
                                 Monahans.
                                 Eva Thorn
     SANDERSON Eva Fay Appel Thorn, 91, of Sanderson, a homemaker, died
                     Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at her home.
   Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cedar Hill Cemetery
    with Jack Harrel officiating. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
           She was born in Grainola, Okla. She was Presbyterian.
   SURVIVORS: Son, Albert A. Thorn of Sanderson; daughter, Beverly Thorn
   Weyerts of Alpine; sister, Ellen Word of Sanderson; two grandchildren;
                       and five great-grandchildren.
                               Bertha Patton
    FORT DAVIS Bertha Lee Patton, 92, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at a
                            local nursing home.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Methodist Church with the
   Rev. Ernie Vineyard officiating. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
       She was born in Menard County. She was a farm worker. She was
                                 Methodist.
      SURVIVORS: Sisters, Elie DuBose of Uvalde and Loretta McPhaul of
         Smithville; and brother, William Patton Jr. of Fort Davis.
                                Enid Turner
   ALPINE Enid Douglas Sears Turner, 87, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at
                            her home in Snyder.
      No services are scheduled. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
    She was born in Snyder. She was active in the Democratic Party. She
     was a founding officer in the local branch of the NAACP and Snyder
                             Neighbors Sharing.
   SURVIVORS: Daughter, Lalae Battista of Alpine; and two grandchildren.
                              Wilma Brumfield
     ARLINGTON Wilma Beatrice Brumfield, 77, of Arlington, died Sunday,
               Nov. 5, 2000, at Arlington Memorial Hospital.
         Arrangements are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
                                Dorothy Coon
   SAN MARCOS Dorothy Coon, 83, of Andrews, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, in
                                San Marcos.
             Arrangements are pending with McNett Funeral Home.
