                              Francis Ryan Jr.
    MARFA Francis H. Pat Ryan Jr., 73, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War
           II, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at an Alpine hospital.
    Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Pauls Episcopal
               Church. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
    He was born in Pecos. He was a publisher and editor of the Big Bend
     Sentinel and Marfa Independent for 30 years. He was Episcopalian.
      SURVIVORS: Son, John Patrick of Bryan and Kevin Ryan of Lubbock,
   Michael Ryan, of Terlingua; daughters, Kathleen Myrtle of Grove, La.,
   Allison Scott of Marfa, Martha Stafford of Livingston, Mont.; brother,
               John Ryan of Belleville; and 11 grandchildren.
                                Jerry Coomer
   McCAMEY Jerry H. Coomer, 79, of McCamey, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000,
                                at his home.
   Arrangements are pending with Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of McCamey.

    MIDLAND Leslie B. Fumbrough, 70, of Odessa, died Saturday, Dec. 23,
                                   2000.
         Arrangements are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

      ANDREWS Ruth M. Hatcher, 79, of Andrews, died Dec. 23, 2000, in
                                  Andrews.
             Arrangements are pending with McNett Funeral Home.
                                Vera Weddle
    ODESSA Vera Weddle, 90, of Odessa, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, in
                                  Odessa.
