    ODESSA Concepcion Alvarado Sanchez, 81, of Odessa, a homemaker, died
             Friday, Dec. 29, 2000 at Medical Center Hospital.
                                      
      Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic
   Church. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez
                               Funeral Home.
                                      
             She was born in Lajitas, Texas. She was Catholic.
                                      
    SURVIVORS: Sons, Patricio Rios of Andrews, Robert M. Rios of Odessa,
     Guadalupe Miranda of Odessa and Juan Miranda of Odessa; daughters,
    Juanita Ramirez of Midland, Victoria Jackson of Odessa, Frances Rios
   of Colorado; stepson, Jimmy Sanchez of Arlington; stepdaughters, Rosie
    Bitolas of Seminole, Cecilia Sanchez of Odessa, Gloria Chalambaza of
      Odessa; brother, Juan Miranda of Odessa; sisters, Mage Munoz of
   Odessa, Petra Baca of Odessa, Rita Munoz of Odessa and Albina Portillo
         of Odessa; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 5
                         great-great-grandchildren.
                                      
                               Kandyce Hughes
                                      
     ODESSA Kandyce Maurine Hughes, infant daughter of Randy and Cathy
    Hughes, died Thursday Dec. 28, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. She
                         was born on Dec. 28, 2000.
                                      
      Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial
    Gardens with Rev. Jimmy Cameron officiating. Arrangements by Sunset
                           Memorial Funeral Home.
                                      
     SURVIVORS: Parents, Randy and Cathy Hughes; brother, Austine Ryan
       Cummings of Odessa; sister, Brittany Lynn Cummings of Odessa;
     stepsisters, Miranda Cari Hughes and Randi Hughes, all of Odessa;
    grandparents, Clay and Shirley Hughes of Colorado City and Fran and
                          Gary Baughma of Odessa.

    ODESSA Maurine J. Curtis, 65, of Odessa, died Friday Dec. 29 in her
                                 residence.

      ODESSA Jeff Benney Bowden, 85, of Odessa, former owner of Ramco
   Fishing Tools and Astro Well Service, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000 at
                       Parks Methodist Nursing Home.
                                      
   Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Revs.
    Dr. Earnest Easley and Paul Cole officiating. Arrangements by Sunset
                           Memorial Funeral Home.
                                      
              He was born in Franklin County. He was Baptist.
                                      
   SURVIVORS: Sons, Joe Bowden and Bill Bowden of Odessa; daughter, Lynn
    Barrington of Dallas; brother, Roscoe Bowden of Mount Pleasant; nine
    grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews,
                  great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
                                      
                              Edward Schroeder
                                      
      ODESSA Edward J. Schroeder, 78, of Odessa, a former employee of
     Halliburton Company, died Thursday Dec. 28, 2000 at Medical Center
                                 Hospital.
                                      
   Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev.
     Bob Bratcher officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral
                                 Directors.
                                      
    He was born in Stringtown, Oklahoma. He was a First Lieutenant as a
   Liaison Pilot in the Field Artillery in European Theater of Command in
                                   WWII.
                                      
   SURVIVORS: Wife, Melba Schroeder of Odessa; sons, Herb D. Schroeder of
     Plano, Ralph Schroder of Aledo and Paul Schroeder of Midland; two
                               grandchildren.
