January 30, 2000 Permian Basin Obituaries ODESSA — Lottlie Lee Harvey, 92, of Odessa died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at Avalon Nursing Home. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, at the Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Mark Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Hawley at 4 p.m. She was born Aug. 20, 1907, in Hawley. Mrs. Harvey came to Odessa in 1949. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith. Survivors include her son, Morris Young and wife, Thelma of Odessa; sister, Madilene Herbert of Midland; niece, Patricia Sibley of Odessa; nephew, Kenneth Herbert of Midland; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Jimenez, 76, of Odessa, a retired oilfield worker, died Friday, Jan. 28. Services are scheduled for Monday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Chavez officiating. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery. A rosary will be said at 6 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 30, at Martinez Funeral Home. Some of his favorite activities were baseball, football and basketball. His pallbearers will include Chris, Greg and Rene Jimenez; Marcus Garza; Danny Campos, Angel Abalos; Jonathon Campos and John Cris Moreno. Survivors include his wife, Maria Jimenez of Odessa; daughter, Delia Garza and her husband, Robert of Grants N.M.; sons, Ralph Jimenez Jr. and wife, Gilda of Odessa, Robert Jimenez and wife, Lisa of Midland, Rudy Jimenez and wife, Rocio of Odessa, Rickey Jimenez of Austin and Ruben Jimenez of Odessa; daughters Diane Campos of Odessa, Delma Abalos and husband, Richard of Odessa, Debra Neitzel and husband, Norman of Odessa, Doreen Moreno and husband, Johnny of Austin; sisters, Margarita Nichols of Fresno, Calif., Flora Lara of Odessa and Trinida Trevino of Andrews; brothers, Fred Jimenez and Concepcion Jimenez both of Odessa and Alphonso Jimenez of Andrews; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. His father, Francisco Jimenez; mother, Maria Placentillo; brothers, Albert Jimenez and Albert Jimenez II and sister precede him in death. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA — Adelina Arellano Nunez, 87, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born July 17, 1912 in San Antonio. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Chruch and a Member of the Legion of Mary. A rosary will be said Sunday, Jan. 30, at 7:30 p.m. Burial Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Odessa with the Rev. Fidelo Lugo officiating. Interment will follow at the Ector County Cemetery. Survivors include sons Pedro Nunez of Wichita Falls; Juan Antonio Nunez of Odessa; daughters Martha Samaniego, Rosa Martinez, Maria Garcia and Alicia Ceniceros all of Odessa and Gloria Esparza of El Paso. She is preceded in death by husband, Ruperto Nunez; father, Basililo Arrellano; mother, Antonia Lopez and son, Ruperto Nunez Jr. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ Juan M. Zepeda MIDLAND — Juan M. Zepeda was born January 11, 1958, in Sanderson, Texas, to Juan H. and Julia (Munoz) Zepeda. He attended school in Sanderson and graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1978. He was employed with the Texas Highway Department in Fort Stockton from 1980 until 1989, and in Odessa from 1989 until 1997. He retired in August of 1997 and was awarded 17 years of "no injury" with the Highway Department. He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Zepeda on January 7, 1958 and by his mother Julia Munoz Zepeda on January 23, 1979. Survivors include a brother, Ernesto Zepeda and his wife, Lupe from Midland; three sisters, Irma Gonzales and her husband, Roman, from Midland, Gloria Jurado and her husband, Aurturo, from Odessa and Berta Barron and her husband, Domingo, from Fort Stockton; an Aunt and Uncle, Leonor and Elizandro Pridgen from Odessa; four nephews; three nieces; three great nephews and one great niece. Rosary will be said Monday at 7 p.m. in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Midland, Texas. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. James Catholic Church in Sanderson, Texas with Father Art Flores officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Rita Cemetery. Ellis Funeral Home in Midland is in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Donnie Gonzalez, Gilbert Gonzalez, Jesse Barron, Robert Jurado, Sergio Pridgen and Javier Valenzuela.
