Pettit, 82, of Rankin passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at the Reagan County Care Center in Big Lake. Our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother has gone to a peaceful place. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at the First United Methodist Church in Rankin with the Rev. Chip Allen, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Rankin, and the Rev. Alan Speed, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church of Jal, N.M., officiating. Burial will follow at Stiles Cemetery. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home of San Angelo. Edith "Mother" was born Feb. 16, 1917, in Roby, to Dick Lear and Stella Woods Lear. She married J.B. Pettit Jr. on July 15, 1936, in Big Lake. He preceded her in death June 21, 1980. She worked at the school cafeteria and retired from the Rankin Independent School District after 30 years of service. Edith was a member of the Rankin First United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughters, Nina Gayle Michum of Rankin and Marie Plott of San Angelo; son, J.B. (Jim) Pettit III and his wife, Toni, of Jal, N.M.; brother-in-law, Japson Pettit and his wife, Dorothy, of Big Lake; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Lear of Lubbock; a granddaughter, Kelly Pettit of Las Cruces, N.M.; and three grandsons and their wives, Jeff Pettit of Jal, N.M., Danny Michum and wife, Daun, and Paul Ray Michum and wife, Connie, all of Rankin; great-granddaughter, Baleagh Michum of Rankin; and one great-grandson, Dalton Michum of Rankin. Pallbearers will be Wayne Mitchell, Tommy Owens, Dod James, Stanley James, Charlie Peterson and Libb Wallace. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA — Teddie Troice Davidson, 62, of Odessa died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, at his residence. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at Parkview Church of Christ with Charles Jones and Joe Cross officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. He was born July 14, 1937, in Cross Plains. He married Barbara Lilly on May 31, 1961, in Odessa. Mr. Davidson has lived in Odessa since 1946. He was the owner of T.D. Engine & Pump for 13 years and later Consolidated Services. He was a member of Parkview Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Davidson of Odessa; sons, Farron Davidson and wife, Kristi, and Jay Davidson, all of Odessa; daughter, Tina Clark and husband, James, of Edmond, Okla.; mother, Jonnie Mae Jernigan of Fairhope, Ala.; brothers, Jimmie Davidson of Palmer, Alaska, and Bobby Jernigan of Fairhope, Ala.; and six grandchildren. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at 404 E. 47th St. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Fidelo Lugo officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday at 404 E. 47th St., and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel and from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at 404 E. 47th St. He was born May 13, 1965, in Juarez, Mexico. He was married July 20, 1983, to Delma Flores. He was Catholic. He was preceded in death by his father, Ramon Orozco. Survivors include his wife, Delma F. Orozco of Odessa; sons, Daniel Orozco and Lazaro Orozco Jr., both of Odessa; daughters, Vickie Orozco, Evangelina Orozco, Marisol Orozco, April Martinez and Priciela Ponce, all of Odessa; and brothers, Mario Orozco and Ramon Orozco, both of Juarez, Mexico. _________________________________________________________________ Vonda Lee Grames ODESSA — Vonda Lee Grames, 72, of Odessa, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. Memorial graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. David Mindel officiating. There will be a family gathering at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, in the parlor at First Christian Church. She was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Carmi, Ill. She married Donald Grames June 13, 1959, in Odessa. Mrs. Grames was a longtime resident of Odessa. She was a businesswoman and former co-owner of Accurate Auto Upholstery. Survivors include her husband, Donald Grames of Odessa; son, James W. Allen and wife, Linda, formerly of Odessa and now of Lompoc, Calif.; daughter, Karen Govorchin and husband, Rex, of Englewood, Fla.; three grandchildren, Lisa Pickles of Washington, D.C., Jason Allen and Robin Lologo, both of Las Vegas; and six great-grandchildren. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA — Vickie Thomason, 36, of Odessa, a devoted mother, homemaker and friend to children of all ages, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at her residence. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with Brother Terry Wright of Westover Baptist Church and the Rev. Randy Unru officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Vickie was born in Abilene in 1963, married Jan. 25, 1986, and has been a resident of Odessa for the past 14 years. Her greatest joy was her children. She was very active in the school system and many youth organizations, volunteering numerous hours to these causes. Survivors include her husband, Tommy "T.J." Thomason of Odessa; two daughters, Krystal and Amanda Thomason, both of Odessa; mother and stepfather, Milton and Wanda Notgrass of Odessa; father, Bill Harris of Baird; sisters, Lisa Crosby and Rene Branscum of Odessa; brothers, Billy and Bradley Harris of Baird; grandmothers and grandfather, Denver and Addie Newson of Odessa and Alta Harris of Baird; nieces, Sara Fry, Belinda Harris, Sarah Crick, Deanna Branscum, Lauren Crosby and Taylor Henry; nephews, Spencer Fry, Lance Branscum, Randy Harris, Brandon Crosby and Cori Branscum; and numerous friends.
