March 10, 2000 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ William Jackson Miller ODESSA — William Jackson Miller was born Dec. 7, 1911, in Baird. He passed away March 8, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Sam Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Miller married Jewel Williams in I929. He and his wife were farmers north of Big Spring and in Central Texas. After leaving the farm, he worked for Sinclair Oil until the start of World War II, when he moved to Houston and worked in the Brown Shipyard. After the war, Mr. Miller moved to West Texas, where he worked for various oil companies, retiring from El Paso Products around 1977. Jack, as he was known to everyone, resided at 1212 Century in Odessa and was a resident of Odessa since 1948. He is survived by his wife, Jewel Miller of Odessa; his sons, Billy D. Miller and wife, Bennie, of Gardendale and their children, Ruana, Tammy, Bill and Kim Miller, and W.E. "Gene" Miller and wife, Theresa, of Midland and their children, David and wife, Arlene Miller, Lynn and husband, Glen Brooker, and Mike and wife, Teri Miller; his sisters, Marguerite McKinley, Connie Tucker and Lois Mendoza, all of Odessa; and a number of great and great-great-grandchild- ren.
