April 06, 2000 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Mary Jane Fox ODESSA — Mary Jane Fox, 76, passed away April 1, 2000, she was born March 3, 1925 in Palestine, to Clarence and Mary Irene Smith. A homemaker and member of Carter Chapel. Mrs. Fox is survived by sons, John W. Fox and Verdell Fox, both of Odessa; daughters, Jean Kelly and Christina Stanford, both of Brownfield; brothers, Alvirtis Smith of Brownfield and Eddie Will of Los Angles; sisters, Verna May Jones of Odessa and Loretta Jones Tyler; 31 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2000, at Odessa Funeral Home. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Powell officiating. Burial will following at Rose Hill Cemetery. Services by Odessa Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ Nancy Ann LeBus Hiett Services for Nancy Ann LeBus Hiett, 46, of Tulsa, Okla., and formerly of Longview and Tyler, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2000, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Tyler with Pastors Steve Henze and Art Hill officiating under the direction of Welch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 3:45 p.m. in Memory Park in Longview. Mrs. Hiett died Monday, April 3, 2000, at her residence. Mrs. Hiett was born March 26, 1954, in Longview. She was a 1972 graduate of Longview High School and a 1990 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelor of science degree in education. Mrs. Hiett taught at Rice Elementary in Tyler and had been a girl’s athletic coach and taught science at Whitehouse Middle School. She worked with the Whitehouse Drill Team in their fundraising. Mrs. Hiett was a member of the Longview Junior Service League, a volunteer worker at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, a Cub Scout den leader, and a team Mom for little league baseball and soccer teams. She had served as head of the children’s Sunday school department at the Winterfield Methodist Church in Longview and a Sunday school teacher at the First Methodist Church in Longview. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Tyler. Mrs. Hiett is survived by her husband, David E. Hiett; son, Brian David Hiett; daughter, Erin Renee Hiett all of Tulsa, Okla.; father, Jack G. LeBus Sr. and wife, Judy, of Midland; mother, Mary Southall LeBus of Ore City; sister, Martha Jane "Janie" Frantz of Longview; brothers, Jack G. LeBus Jr. and wife, Suzie, of Liberty City, and Ryan Thompson and wife, Amy, of Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hiett was preceded in death by a brother, John Richard LeBus of Odessa; her grandparents, Leon and Jessie Southall of Ore City and Frank and Genie LeBus of Longview. Pallbearers will be Charlie Best, Jeff Atkinson, Mark Moseley, Johnny Watson, Barry Maines and Hal Conover. The family will receive friends and family from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2000, at the Welch Funeral Home Parlor. Box 906, Longview, Texas, 75606 or charity of choice. _________________________________________________________________ Jesus Loera MIDLAND — Jesus Loera was born Dec. 23, 1901, in El Mulato, Chihuahua, Mexico, where he was reared and educated. He married Filomena Ramos, in El Mulato, Sept. 19, 1925. They moved to Midland in 1968. Mr. Loera died at a local hospital Tuesday, April 4, 2000. He was preceded in death by his wife, Filomena Loera Jan. 29, 1986; son, Gregorio Loera Sept. 18, 1984; daughter, Delia Loera Jan. 2, 1997; and grandson, Jesus Hernandez Oct. 6, 1972. He is survived by his son, Octavio Loera and his wife, Carmen; daughters, Trinidad Hernandez and her husband, Baudelio, Florentine Garcia and her husband, Pedro, Catalina Loera, and Socorro Vargas and her husband, Abel, all of Midland; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at the family home at 113 E. Cowden. Rosary will be said from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of San Juan Catholic Church with Father Tom Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ Josephine Perez Williams ODESSA — Josephine was born Jan. 11, 1933, in Melvin, to Francisco and Josefina Perez. She passed away April 4, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital after a lengthy illness. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2000, at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Chavez officiating. Burial will then follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Sunset Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Williams was a longtime resident of Odessa. She was a graduate of Angelo State Univeristy with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She worked for Medical Center Hospital for over 30 years. On June 23, 1958, she married Billy Williams. She was one of the founding members of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was a member of the Northside Senior Citizens Center. Survivors include her husband, Billy Mack Williams Sr.; children, Billy Mack Williams Jr., Patricia McCutcheon and late husband, Dan McCutcheon, Sheila Yvette Williams and husband, Jason Jackson, and Deloris Jane Williams; brothers, Jose Arnold Perez and wife, Luz, Oscar Perez and wife, Belia, Zachary Perez and wife, Trinidad; grandchildren, Carole and Shawn McCutcheon; special friends, Tuesday May Williams and Harley Jane Williams. She was preceded in death by her father, Francisco Perez; mother, Josefina Perez; sisters, Isabel Salame and Manuelita Duran; brothers, Francisco Perez, Luis Perez, Carvalito Perez and Guadalupe Perez. Pallbearers will be Clark Racca, Billy Williams, Jason Jackson, Wes Surber, Jim Oliver and Perry Willis. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Ayers and Fernando Araiza and Tom Johnson.
