April 10, 2000 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Donald Lee Pummill ODESSA — Donald Lee Pummill, 66, of Odessa passed away Saturday, April 8, 2000, at his residence. Mr. Pummill was born Dec. 24, 1933. in Sedalia, Mo. He married Pat Cook Dec. 6, 1952, in Bahner, Mo., and they moved to Odessa in 1953. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Don had worked in oilfield sales for 47 years and was the owner of Don Pummill Sales. He will be remembered as a very generous man who never met a stranger. His friends knew him as a very good friend who would do anything to help and an avid Mojo fan. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pat Pummill of Odessa; two sons, Tony Pummill of Skamania, Wash., and Tim Pummill and his wife, Melinda, of Odessa; one daughter, Teri Phelps and her husband, Joel, of Odessa; his mother, Sabra Pummill of Sedalia, Mo.; one brother, Ben Pummill of Malta Bend, Mo.; three brothers-in-law, Mike Cook and his wife, Susan, of Sedalia, Mo., Don Cook of Otterville, Mo., and Joe Cook and his wife, Kim, of Sparks, Nev.; one sister, Delores Barnes of Sedalia, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Lou Fowler and her husband, Skeet, of Odessa; two grandchildren, Ben Pummill and Matthew Pummill; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a family gathering from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2000, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Woodruff as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Building Fund or Catholic Charities. Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA — Services for Rudolfo "Rudy" Salcido, 43, of San Marcos, Calif., will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel with Vicente Maldonado officiating. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Salcido died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at his residence. He was born March 24, 1957, in Pecos. He was a welder and a member of the Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Julio Salcido. Survivors include his wife, Martha Salcido of San Marcos, Calif.; three sons, Rudy Salcido Jr., Jaime Luis Salcido and Eric Michael Salcido, all of San Marcos, Calif.; a daughter, Stephanie Ann Salcido of San Marcos, Calif.; mother, Catarina Salcido of Odessa; six brothers, Inez Salcido, Raul Salcido and Thomas Salcido, all of Odessa, Henry Salcido of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Natividad Salcido of Pecos; and six sisters, Modesta Juarez and Frances Orona, both of Odessa, Maria Ortiz of Odessa and Dulces Garcia of Fort Stockton, Emma Adame of Hobbs, N.M., and Jesusita Luna of Kermit. Pallbearers will be Rudy Salcido Jr., Jaime Salcido, Eric Salcido, Rudy Rodriguez, Raul Salcido, Inez Salcido Jr., Natividad Salcido, Joe Bernal and Steven Ramirez. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephanie Salcido, Leslie Bernal, Angie Ramirez and Amanda Rodriguez.
