She passed away Monday, April 10, 2000, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Dolores Carrejo; and by her husband, Manuel Fierro. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Sunset Memorial Chapel with Brother Larry Tate officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Fierro was a longtime resident of Odessa and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She is survived by her daughter, Sally Ponce of Odessa; sisters, Angela Carbajal of El Paso, Velia Heredia of Carson, Calif., and Lola Sosa of Gardena, Calif.; brothers, Tony Carrejo and Francisco Carrejo, both of El Paso; grandchildren, Leonard, Ruben and Nellie Andrade, Michael and Jesse Grande, and Lisa Ponce-Galinato, all of southern California; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. _________________________________________________________________ Top | Obituaries Index | Home _________________________________________________________________ Donald Gene Campbell TULSA, Okla. — Donald Gene Campbell, born June 22, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio, to Donald and Verda Campbell, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000. After a long, professional career as a geologist, he turned to cattle ranching and his love of the outdoors during his retirement. He was a 1947 graduate of Odessa High School and was a member of the 1946 Odessa Broncho State Football Champions and a member of the State Relay Track Team. A 1959 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, he completed a bachelor’s degree in Geology and attended the University of Tulsa’s Law School. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Tulsa Geological Society and the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association. Campbell was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Anne Campbell; and a brother, Gerald Campbell. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bebe Campbell; daughter, Kim Vickrey and her husband, Donn; son, Brett Campbell and his wife, Jennifer; granddaughters, Natalie Bobbitt, Haley Bobbitt and Allison Campbell; and a grandson, Andrew Campbell. Memorial services were held Friday, April 7, 2000, at Stanley’s Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Okla.
