Carrillo ODESSA — Manuela L. Carrillo, 81, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2000, at her residence in Odessa. She was born Nov. 10, 1918, in St. Helena, Texas. A homemaker who retired after 20 years as a restaurant cook, she was also a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine. Rosary was recited Friday, April 14, 2000, at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Carrillo was preceded in death by her parents, Hilberto and Bonifacia Luna; brothers, Marcos Luna and Jose Luna; sister, Angelina Valenzuela. She is survived by her husband, Calistro Carrillo Sr. of Odessa; sons, Andres Carrillo of Midland, Luis Carrillo and Calistro Carrillo Jr., both of Odessa, Jimmy Carrillo of EI Paso and Rodolfo Carrillo of Canutillo; daughters, Gregoria C. Melgoza, Juanita Luera and Dina Carrillo, all of Odessa, Viola C. Valadez of Round Rock and Mary Sanchez of Devine; brothers, Demencio Luna of Alpine, Miguel Luna of Odessa, Margarito Luna of Pecos, Mauricio Luna of Fresno, Calif.; sister, Felicita Luna of Odessa; 21 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Adrian Carrillo, Mark Garza, Rodolfo Carrillo II, Xavier Melgoza, Dan Melgoza and Victor Melgoza Jr. Services by Odessa Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ Top | Obituaries Index | Home _________________________________________________________________ mitcham041500.jpg (11285 bytes) Dorothy Lucille Ince Mitcham ODESSA — Dorothy Lucille Ince Mitcham, 78, of Odessa, was born Dec. 19, 1921, in Oklahoma. She passed away April 12, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. She was preceded in death by her son, Danny Paul Mitcham; her husband, Charlie Mitcham; and by two sisters, Willa Mae Jackson and Florene Humphries. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2000, at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Kathryn Strempke officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Mitcham, a former resident of Brock, married Charlie Mitcham Nov. 6, 1942. She was a resident of Odessa for 15 years and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was active in the Wesley Sunday School Class and she spent a lot of her time in prayer with the Lord.
