April 28, 2000 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Mary Sue Lambert CEDAR GAP — Mary Sue Lambert, 67, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, in an Abilene hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2000, in the First United Methodist Church with Brother Fred Sandlin officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Gap Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home of Tuscola. Mrs. Lambert was born in Ovalo. She graduated from South Taylor High School, now Jim Ned High School. She moved to Odessa from Abilene in 1964 and returned to Cedar Gap in 1977. She worked for Abilene State School from 1978 to 1993 and retired at that time. She was a member of Highland Methodist Church in Odessa. She married Richard Thomas Lambert in 1951. Survivors include her husband, Richard, of Cedar Gap; daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Steve Wilson of Odessa and Tammie and Robert Graham of Tuscola; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Wilma Lambert of Odessa and Jack and Jenna Lambert of Odessa; sisters, Helen Sims and Hazel Shoopman, both of Abilene and Billie Reddell of Pampa; seven grandchildren, Brian Wilson and Jason Graham, both of Austin, Emily Graham of Tuscola, Chris Wilson, Chad Lambert, Ben Lambert and Sarah Lambert, all of Odessa; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care, P. O. Box 1922, Abilene, TX 79604. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA — Joseph D. Torrez, 48, of Odessa died Thursday, April 27, 2000, at San Angelo Community Hospital. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. He was born in Carlsbad, N.M.
