June 06, 2000 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ MIDLAND Michael Kent Chilcoat was born August 16, 1996, in Midland, Texas, to Steven Kent and Cindy Renea (Rankin) Chilcoat. Michael died at a local hospital on Sunday, June 4, 2000. Michael is survived by his parents, Steven and Cindy Chilcoat; his brother, James Hoyt Chilcoat; his grandparents, Jim and Ann Chilcoat; his great-grandmothers, Pearl Chilcoat and Jean Rankin; his aunt, Kathy Chilcoat; his uncle, Jim Hollis; his great-aunt, Bennie McAlister; his great-uncle, Ronnie Chilcoat, all of Midland. Funeral services have been scheduled for Wednesday, June 7, at 1 p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Laura Deaderick of St. John's Episcopal Church of Odessa officiating. Ellis Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA Services for Clifton C. Greene Sr., 81, of Odessa are scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Green had lived in Odessa since 1945. He was a retired foreman in the oilfield. He was a member of the Moose Lodge for 41 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Greene; daughters, Barbara Greene and Sonja Davis; three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Greene of Odessa; sons, R.T. Greene and wife, Kay, of El Cajon, Calif., Cliff Greene, of Odessa, Glenn Alan Carson and wife, Joann, of Odessa, and Raymond Carson and wife, Shirley, of Ames, Okla.; daughters, Linda Christopher and husband, Jerry, of Del Rio, Mary Riley and husband, Dennis, of San Antonio, Marsha Escogne and husband, John, of Carlsbad, N.M. and Brenda Kinney and husband, Milton, of Odessa; brothers, Lewis Greene and wife, Dale, of Las Vegas, R. D. Greene and wife, Audie Mildred, of Levelland, Leonard Greene and wife, Fannie, of Iowa Park, Texas, and Billy Greene and wife, Louise, of Post; sister, Clara Kerley, and husband, Joe, of Iowa Park, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA Mass for Ernesto Sandoval Sr., 89, of Odessa will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father David Herrera and Father Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home. Public visitations will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Sandoval died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at Arlington Memorial Hospital. He was born March 22, 1911, in Del Rio to Georgia DeHoyas and Felix Sandoval. He was preceded by his parents and his wife, Otila Sandoval. Mr. Sandoval was a ranchhand foreman. Survivors include his sons, Ernest Sandoval Jr. and wife, Margie, of Odessa, Joe Sandoval and wife, Rosa, and Johnny Sandoval, all of Dallas-Fort Worth; daughters, Georgia S. Salinas of Odessa, Lucy S. Uranga and husband, Adan, and Sally S. White and husband, Cedric, all of Arlington, and Connie S. Mendez of Wichita Falls; sister, Zoila D. Perez of Melvin; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements are entrusted to Martinez Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ MUNDAY Lynn Waldrip, 89, of Odessa passed away late Saturday, June 3, 2000, in Clearlake Regional Hospital in Houston. He was born March 8, 1911, in O'Brian to Walter Waldrip and Minnie Morgan Waldrip. He married Marjorie Harris on Jan. 28, 1933. He was a 35-year resident of Odessa and a member of Crescent Park Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Waldrip of Odessa; two daughters, Betty Henderson of La Porte and Peggy Bledsoe of Odessa; a sister, Ruie Dutton of Earth; three grandchildren, Pete Henderson and wife, Tanya, of La Porte, Sherrie Moore and husband, Mike of Robinson, Terrie Duffy and husband, Pat, of Round Rock; a sister-in-law, Alleene Waldrip of Knox City; a nephew, Jimmy Dutton of Earth; nieces, Margaret Hill of Munday, Renda Logston of Muleshoe, Martha Kay Welch of Crowell, and Mary Beth Sharp of Abilene; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at Johnson Memorial Cemetery in Munday with the Rev. Michael Moore officiating. Services are under the direction of Paul U.
