June 16, 2000 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ ASPERMONT -- Leonard George "Buddy" Cullum, 68, of Odessa, a drilling consultant, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000, in Shawnee, Okla., after a short illness. Masonic graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Brazos Valley Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Hess officiating. Services have been entrusted to McCoy Funeral Home in Aspermont. He was born March 10, 1932, in Alice. He married Rose Hahn July 28, 1954, in Swenson. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Cullum was preceded in death by his father, George Cullum; and his mother, Pearl Cullum. He is survived by Rose Cullum of Odessa; daughters, Susie Henry, Sharon Eicher and Shelia Limon of Odessa; a sister, Frances Zuber of Abilene; and three grandchildren, Stacy Shifflett, Brady Culver and Shea Culver, all of Odessa. _________________________________________________________________ Lena Elizabeth Dusek ODESSA -- Lena Elizabeth Dusek was born March 22, 1927, in Eola to Vernon and Wanda Boring Fikes. She passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2000, at her residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Bugg officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Dusek married Benny Dusek on March 22, 1977, in Odessa. Survivors include her husband, Benny Dusek of Odessa; her son, Jay Dusek of Land-O-Lakes, Fla.; daughters, Betty Holguin of Odessa, Sharon Sass of San Angelo, and Joni Stewart and Lori Dew, both of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. _________________________________________________________________ Copyright © 2000 Odessa American.
