Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2000, at St. Josephs Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. She was born Feb. 18, 1992, in Odessa. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Hector Moya. Survivors include her father, Jose Botello of Odessa; mother, Erlinda Baiza of Odessa; brothers, Hector Moya Jr. and Trinidad Baiza Moya, both of Odessa; grandparents, Lois Nabarrete, Moises Flores, Guadalupe Flores and Frances and Jose Botello, all of Odessa; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sabas Nabarrete of Odessa and Mr. and Mrs. Julian Baiza of Fort Stockton. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ LoriAnn Davis MONAHANS LoriAnn Davis was born Oct. 29, 1967, in Odessa and passed from this life Wednesday, July 5, 2000, in San Diego due to a fatal car accident. LoriAnn graduated from high school in Midland and then moved to Southern California in 1998. LoriAnn attended two years of college and was a leasing consultant. Among her passionate hobbies were floral art, painting, watercolor painting and other media, writing, poetry and was in the process of starting her own line of cards called Elements by LoriAnn. LoriAnn was a Christian of the Protestant faith. LoriAnn is survived by her husband, Greg Tupa of Huntington Beach, Calif.; mother, Sandy Hayes-Davis of Dallas; father, Hugh Davis of Mesquite; grandfather, Woodrow W. Hayes of Monahans; grandmother, Alvis Davis of Burnet; aunt, Judy Hayes of San Diego; cousins, Ashley Ward and John Ward of San Diego; other family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Memorial services were held at Glen Abbey Chapel of the Roses in Bonita, Calif., July 10, 2000. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2000, at Southside Baptist Church in Monahans. LoriAnn touched every heart she knew with her beautiful soul and heart and her beauty and light will remain in our hearts forever. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA Helen Constance Freeman, 76, of Odessa died Sunday, July 9, 2000, at Odessa Regional Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2000, at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Thorpe officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. She was born Dec. 14, 1923, in Steeple Ashton, England. Mrs. Freeman retired from Medical Center Hospital after 19 years of service. She belonged to the British Womens Club. She was very active at Temple Baptist Church. Helen was a wonderful person always reaching out to help others in very special ways. Survivors include her husband, C.W. Freeman of Odessa; sons, Richard Mourning of Godley, Del Mourning of Odessa and Dwayne Freeman of Merkel; daughters, Margaret Mourning Abbott of Odessa, Denise Fletcher of Uvalde, Pat Osborn of Midland and Charlotte Underwood of Andrews; brother, Dennis Grant of England; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Garcia, 24, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2000, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born Jan. 13, 1975, in San Juan de Guadalupe, Durango, Mexico. Mr. Garcia will lie in state at his residence at 418 Snyder St. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. today with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. today at the residence. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Garcia was a forklift operator for Big-Tex Trailers in Odessa. He married Gladys Juarez in December of 1995 in Denver. He is survived by his wife, Gladys of Odessa; son, Esequiel Garcia Jr. of Odessa; daughter, Gabriela Garcia of Odessa; parents, Pedro Soto and Maria Soto of Odessa; brothers, Hector Garcia and Pedro Soto, both of Odessa; sisters, Odelia Soto, Elvia Soto, Lorena Soto and Griselda Puente, all of Odessa; and grandparents Manuel and Lucia Castenada of Mexico.
