Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Josephs Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel; from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel; from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel and from 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Monday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. She was born in Lampaso, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She is survived by her husband, Pilar Arredondo of Odessa; daughter, Rosie Torres of Lubbock; daughter, Maria Narvaiz and her husband, Joe, of Midland; daughter, Grace Ornelas and her husband, Tom, of Odessa; son, Gonzalo Arredondo and his wife, Maria, of Lubbock; son, Albert Arredondo and his wife, Adelina, of Slaton; son, Jesse Arredondo and his wife, Lala, of Odessa; son, Sergio Arredondo of Odessa; son, Jay Paul Garcia and his wife, Louisa, of Odessa; and sister, Hilda Martinez of Matamoros, Mexico; 31 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesus Fuentes; mother, Manuela Hernandez; and sons, Pilar Arredondo and Frank Arredondo. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA Michael Santino Chavez, a 1-month-old infant, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at University Medical Center Hospital in Lubbock. Services will be at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his parents, Luis Alonzo and Jennie Chavez of Odessa; brother, Nicholas Ryan Quezada of Odessa; sisters, Maricela Elena Chavez and Sierra Angelica Chavez, both of Odessa; grandparents, Joel and Rosa Lujan of Sunnyvale, Calif., Macario and Irma Sanchez of Midland and Richard and Amparo Chavez of El Paso; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rodarte of Midland and Mr. and Mrs. Roberto Lujan of Odessa. _________________________________________________________________ Helen Faye Lee ODESSA Helen Faye Lee, 79, widow of Ben Davis Lee, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, in Houston. She was born March 2, 1921, in Guthrie to Charlie Hart, the legendary cattleman, and Alice Hart. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Faye is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Hugh Stinson of Houston; sisters-in-law, Clara Hart of Odessa and Lina Hart of San Diego; nieces, Rose Walker of Spring, Connie Tacker of Odessa and their families; sister- and brother-in-law, Jo and Ed Jensen of Niantic, Conn.; and her best friend, Judy Williams of Midland. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, S.B. and Vernon Hart; and her sisters, Thelma Bevers and Frances Matthews. Services are in the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ ODESSA Sandra Jo Smith, 57, of Odessa, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at her home. She was born Oct. 21, 1942, in Wichita Falls to Frank and Georgia Hiegle. She was Baptist. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Maxey officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her husband, Allen Smith; son, Kyle Smith and his wife, Jennifer, of San Antonio; sister, Betty Guthrie of Odessa; nieces, Janet Sims and her husband, Jerry, of Midland and Lori Searcy of Odessa; nephews, Steve Guthrie of Midland and David Guthrie of Odessa. She was preceded in death by her father in 1984, her mother in 1948 and her sister, Patsy Spencer, in 1999.
