August 31, 2000 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Ethel Irene Mueller ODESSA Ethel Irene Mueller, 69, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at her residence in Odessa. Ethel was born May 1, 1931, in St. Louis to Edward W. and Mary E. Keller. She graduated from St. Elizabeth Academy in 1949 and attended St. Louis University. She married William John Mueller of Valley Park, Mo., June 14, 1952. In January 1965, Ethel and her family moved to Odessa. She was a faithful member of St. Marys Catholic Church and provided many years of caring service to the school children of St. Marys Central Catholic School. Ethel devoted her life to the happiness and well-being of her family. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends and especially held a passion for cruises. Her always cheerful and positive outlook was an inspiration to all. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband; daughter, Teresa "Terry" McManigle-Jones and husband, Gregory K.M. Jones, of Rodbourne, England; sons, Kenneth J. Mueller of Fort Worth and Wayne S. Mueller and wife, Kathleen Gilchrist Mueller, of San Antonio; grandsons, Robert E. Mueller and Eric L. Mueller, both of Coppell; sisters-in-law, Marilyn T. Bridge and husband, John J. Bridge, of Morton, Ill., and Eleanor M. Epperson and husband, Harold J. Epperson, of Valley Park, Mo.; brother-in-law, Richard P. Mueller of Odessa; three nieces; and two nephews. Viewing will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Visitation with Ethel and family will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at St. Marys Catholic Church. Vigil service and rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today at St. Marys Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Marys Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Frey, celebrant. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. The family of Ethel Irene suggests memorials to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Community Care Hospice in Odessa or St. Marys Central Catholic School. (www.wilsonfuneral.com) _________________________________________________________________ ANDREWS Services for Beth Rodgers, 80, of Andrews, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Kello officiating. Burial will be at the Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home. She died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews. She was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Fort Worth to Bill and Willie Mae Ratliff. She married Hugh M. Rodgers Aug. 28, 1943, in Midland and moved to Andrews in 1959 from Odessa. They owned the Texaco distributorship operating as R&W Gas Company for 27 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Andrews.
