September 20, 2000 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Betty Hart Donaldson ODESSA Betty Hart Donaldson was born March 31, 1925, in Ackerly to Hal and Ora Wells Hart. She passed away Sept. 17, 2000, at Deerings Nursing Home. Her parents preceded her in death. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services are under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Betty Hart married Charles E. Donaldson July 10, 1948, in Odessa. They moved to Colorado for four years before moving to Kent, Texas, where they lived for 38 years before moving back to Odessa in February of 1990. Betty was a homemaker. She enjoyed collecting antiques, searching for arrowheads and she loved flowers. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Charles E. Donaldson of Odessa; her daughter, Sue Ann Donaldson-Yarbrough, and her husband Tyler of San Leandro, Calif.; her sister, Frances Hart Henderson and her husband Lyle of Shattuck, Okla.; and nephews, Scott and David Henderson. _________________________________________________________________ Margaret M. Head ROSWELL, N.M. Margaret M. Head, a resident of Sherwood Place in Odessa, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at South Park Cemetery in Roswell, N.M. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home. Margaret was born Dec. 1, 1927 in Lakewood, N.M. She married Rue O. Head in Roswell April 10, 1947. Rue preceded her in death April 19, 1981. She was a longtime resident of Roswell, a retired Southwestern Bell employee, a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers and a member of the First Baptist Church of Odessa. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Head and his wife Boydette of Florence, S.C., and Terry Head and his wife Shelley of Midland; three grandchildren, Zachary Head of Norman, Okla., Paul Head of Arlington and Stacey Head of Austin. She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters.
