November 08, 2000 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Raymond Eugene "Buck" Bible CLEBURNE Raymond Eugene "Buck" Bible was born March 25, 1919, in Donley County. He was the son of Cecil and Lydia Abbott Bible. He moved to Canyon in 1929 where he received most of his education. After moving to Odessa in 1939, Buck married Louise Johnson on April 13, 1941. He retired from Johnson Brothers Oil Co. after 30 years of employment. In 1991, he and Louise moved to Cleburne to be near children and grandchildren. Buck accepted Christ as his savior at the age of 13. He was an ordained deacon and a member of First Baptist Church. He had worked with youth for many years as well as serving on numerous church committees. Displaying his love for God, his family and church, Buck was known for his sweet smile and his willing attitude to help anyone in need. This love and his uncanny ability to fix almost anything that was broken made him a treasured husband, father, brother and neighbor. Three sisters preceded him in death: Faye Bell, Zudie Edwards and Bonnie Dowdy. Buck is survived by his wife, Louise; two daughters and their husbands, Linda and Leon Harville of Crowley and Kay and Mike White of Cleburne; his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Laurette and Kevin Waller of Bloomfield, N.M., Loren and Leland Harville of Dallas, Amy White of Temple, Abbi White of Arlington and Jacob White of Cleburne; and three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Abby and Jeremy Waller, all of Bloomfield.
