She is survived by four sons, Martin Chavez, Juan Cardona, Jessie Lee Munoz and Santos Cardona; a daughter, Natividad Cardona; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchildren. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Templo El Redentor. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at Templo El Redentor with Vicente Violon officiating. Burial will be at Peaceful Garden Cemetery. Arrangements by Guajardo Funeral Chapel. _________________________________________________________________ Top | Obituaries Index | Home _________________________________________________________________ Minnie Alice Sloan Harris SONORA Alice Harris, 85, died Sunday afternoon, Nov. 19, 2000, at a Kerrville nursing home. She had been a resident of Sonora for about two years prior to moving to Kerrville but had lived in Odessa since November of 1947. Alice was born Nov. 25, Thanksgiving Day, 1915, in Wewoka, Okla., to Nancy and Sydney Sloan. She married T.J. Jack Harris Feb. 18, 1935, in Wellington. They had two sons, the Rev. Ted W. Harris of Sonora and R.J. Ron Harris of Atlanta. Jack Harris preceded her in death in 1998. Besides her sons, Alice is survived by seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at the First United Methodist Church of Odessa followed by burial at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. The Rev. Steve Trout will be officiating. Special music will be offered by Harriet Berlin. Arrangements are by Kerbow Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Alicia Harris, Cassandra Harris Burris, Wayne Harris, Tom Harris, Don Burris and Conan Millsap. Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of Odessa or St. Johns Episcopal Church of Sonora. _________________________________________________________________ Top | Obituaries Index | Home _________________________________________________________________ Charles Kenneth Mason ODESSA Services for Charles Kenneth Mason, 70, of Odessa are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Steve Trout officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Mason died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at his residence. He was born Nov. 18, 1930, in Big Spring. Mr. Mason was a graduate of Odessa High School and attended Odessa College. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Garland. He moved to Garland from Odessa in 1963. He retired from Texas Instruments in 1991 after more than 25 years of service. He moved back to Odessa in 1998. He was loved by many friends and family and will be deeply missed by all. He was preceded in death by his father, W.F. Mason. Survivors include his daughter, Roni Sturdivant and husband Gerald of Lubbock; mother, Grace Mason of Odessa; brother, Larry Mason of Abilene; sister, Vesta Poe of Odessa; two grandchildren, Virginia Ottwell and David Sturdivant; two great-grandchildren, Morris and Dylan Ottwell, all of Lubbock; two nieces; and a nephew.
