December 12, 2000 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Della Faye Brown ODESSA Della Faye Brown, 89, of Monahans went to be with the Lord Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, after a short illness. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Revs. David Lively and Morris Johnson officiating. Graveside service will follow at 4 p.m. in Monahans. Pallbearers will be James Baker, Lucas Bedrick, Chris Hodge, Danny Hockett, Rodney Holley and Cecil Dann. She was born June 3, 1911, in Lovington, N.M. She married James F. Brown in Ballinger in 1929. He preceded her in death in Oct. 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Sam, Curtis, Floyd, Ernest, Leonard and Willie; three sisters, Ruby, Essie and Ola; and a grandchild, Lillian. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Monahans. She served several terms as president of the Monahans Rebekahs Lodge #27. She held the highest rank of the L.A.P.M. she received the Decoration of Chivalry March 19, 1987. She was an election judge of Thorntonville, Ward County, Texas, for many years. She was also a member of Royal Neighbors and an adviser of Theta Rhos Girls Club. She was a member of the art club and through this talent, her family and friends received many of her beautiful paintings. She stayed busy gardening and with church work, civil work and senior citizen club. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Sellars and husband Bill of Coleman and Frankie Hall of Odessa; grandchildren, Donald Baker and wife LaVona of Odessa, Debbie Horrell of Odessa, Darren Baker and wife Doris of Odessa, Betty Jo Trimble and husband Joe of Ballinger, Patty McKeehan and husband Jerry of Madisonville, Tenn., Karen Bland and husband Alan of Burkett and Paul Stuard and wife Raynelle of Abilene; 16 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Joe of Ballinger; and sister, Jewel of Artesia, N.M. Grandmother, today your family gathers to mourn our greatest loss and to comfort each other. Our hearts are breaking, our tears keep falling, but you will be in our hearts forever. The thought of you entering Gods kingdom to Granddads outstretched arms and your loved ones around you will soften our sorrow. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, Dec. 12, 2000, at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today, Dec. 12, 2000, at St. Marys Catholic Church with Father Francis Frey officiating. Burial will be at Ector County Cemetery. He was born Feb. 17, 1930, in San Antonio to Maria Gonzales and Francisco Ramirez. He was a retired self-employed businessman. He retired from the Army National Guard after serving in the Korean War. He was a resident of Amarillo before moving to Odessa 43 years ago. He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Ramirez; mother, Maria Gonzales; daughter, Lupe Ramirez; brother, Phillip Ramirez; and sister, Georgia Rodriguez. Survivors include his sons, Joe S. Ramirez of Austin, Ricardo Ramirez of The Colony, John Joe Ramirez and Elicio Ramirez, both of Odessa; daughters, Josephine Boncek of Atlanta, Judy S. Ramirez of Pagosa Springs, Colo., Cynthia Ramirez of El Paso, Maria Ramirez and Marissa Ramirez, both of Odessa; brother, Eddie Ramirez of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Dr. Ernest Easley officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Kellie died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center. She was born Dec. 9, 1967, in Odessa. Kellie had lived in Midland for the past six years. She had worked for Midtex of Midland as an interior designer for over two years. She was currently serving as the president of the Junior Womens League of Midland. She had taught aerobics in Odessa and Midland. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Midland. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vickie Rimer in 1987. Survivors include her father, Larry Rimer and wife Pamela of Odessa; stepmother, Margaret Rimer of Odessa; maternal grandmother, Wilma Matthews of Odessa; brothers, Larry Rimer Jr. and wife Mechelle of Odessa and Joshua Rimer of Odessa; sister, Melanie Rimer Davis and husband Douglas of Odessa; stepsister, Christy King and husband Tim of Abilene; and six nieces and nephews. Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. _________________________________________________________________ Mary Bond Franklin ODESSA Services for Mary "Addie" Bond Franklin, 90, of Odessa are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, Dec. 12, 2000, at Wesley Evangelical Methodist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Newton officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Franklin will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the service time today at the church. Mrs. Franklin died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at New Horizons Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 20, 1910, in Lufkin. She married Charles Franklin Aug. 12, 1951, in Bullard. He died in 1980. Mrs. Franklin had lived in Odessa since 1940. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Eastern Star and a longtime faithful member of Wesley Evangelical Methodist Church, where she was involved with the Evangelical Methodist Women. Survivors include her nieces, June Hughes, Judy Hughes, Willie Mae Martin, Lucille Carroll and Pearl Marlin, all of Lufkin, and Melba Carter of Tyler; nephews, Oscar Newburn of Dallas and Guy Newburn of Lufkin; great-niece, Gaye Skaggs and husband Den-nis of Odessa; and many other nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to Wesley Evangelical Methodist Church Building Fund. Milson of Odessa passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at her home. Mrs. Milson was born Jan. 14, 1921, in Wilson, Okla., to William and Clara Flippin. She had been a seamstress and interior designer for more than 40 years. She came to Odessa from Midland in 1971. She was a member of Eisenhower Church of Christ, Rebekah Lodge and Royal Neighbors. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by brothers, Jack and Marnell Flippin; and sisters, Florence Freely and Billene Freeman. Mrs. Wilson is survived by one son, Jim Milson and wife Karla of Odessa; one daughter, Patricia Moore and husband D.C. of Midland; five brothers, A.G. Flippin of Vega, Ray Flippin, Harold Flippin, Gene Flippin and Bobby Flippin, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Hazel Morton and Willie Mae Mann, both of Amarillo; and three grandchildren, Robert Glenn Tankersley, Lori Ann Tanskerley and Brian Milson. Services were held at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with interment following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Frank W.
