December 13, 2000 Permian Basin Obituaries _________________________________________________________________ Ray Lopez Porras ODESSA Ray Lopez Porras, 29, of Odessa died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today, Dec. 13, 2000, at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Frank Chavez officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. He was born July 17, 1971, in Lovington, N.M. He was an oilfield worker. He was Catholic. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert and Maria Rodriguez; and uncle, Leroy Lopez. He is survived by his wife, Melissa R. Porras of Odessa; sons, Roy Ramirez and Jimmy Ray Porras, both of Odessa; daughter, Gabrielle Alexis Porras of Odessa; mother, Sally Gutierrez and husband, Tony, of Hobbs, N.M.; father, Manuel Rodriguez and wife, Kim, of Lovington; brothers, Christopher Rodriguez and wife, Veronica, of Lovington, Ricky Rodriguez and wife, Monica, of Odessa and Blue Manuel Rodriguez and wife, Robbin, of Lovington; grandparents, Florencia Garcia of Lovington and Roman and Marcela Lopez of Lovington; a niece; and four nephews. Pallbearers will be family and friends, Floyd Clemence, Rudy Enriquez, Gilbert Ramirez Jr., Jason Rodriguez, Frank Lopez Jr., Domingo Lopez, Roy Ramirez, Christopher Rodriguez and Larry Lopez.
