January 12, 2001 H. Ross Jones ODESSA H. Ross Jones, 81, of Odessa, a retired district manager for Teledyne Merla, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at a local nursing home. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Belmont Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. He was born in Teague and moved to Odessa in 1942. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Wife, Freddie Mae Jones of Odessa; daughter, Nancy Sherian Jones of Odessa; brother, James L. Jones of Pasadena; and sister, Mary Pryor of Teague. Aurora Sanchez STANTON Aurora Sanchez, 62, of Stanton, director of West Texas Opportunities in Stanton, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Revs. Arturo Pestin and Ernie Sanchez officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements by Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel. She was born in Stanton. She was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Husband, Nick Sanchez of Stanton; daughter, Regina Thomas of Stanton; son, Ruben Sanchez of Stanton; father, Manuel Brito of El Paso; brother, Eleno Brito of Stanton; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Doris Stamey ODESSA Doris Marie Stamey, 70, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, at her residence. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Newton officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. She was born in Guymon, Okla., and moved to Odessa in 1950 from Guymon. She was Baptist.
