Jordan Sr., 76, of Big Spring, a retired employee of the city of Big Spring water department and General Tire in Odessa, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Deerings Nursing Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Thomas Catholic Church with the Rev. James Plagens officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Myers and Smith Funeral Home. He was born in Marfa and was a longtime resident of Big Spring. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Son, Valdomero Jordan Jr. of Odessa; daughters, Bertie Chavez, Sylvia Jordan and Lisa Jordan, all of Fort Worth; sisters, Inez Garza and Petra Franco, both of Big Spring; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Earl Knight CRANE Earl K. Knight, 72, of Odessa, a retired oilfield salesman, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Crane County Cemetery with Paul Smith officiating. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home. He was born in Jacksboro and had been a longtime resident of Crane before moving to Odessa four years ago. He was a Marines veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
